Conditional Expressions
Conditional expressions are rules or conditions applied to widgets to highlight data based on specific criteria. For example, an expression can replace a widget, change a widget’s color, display an alert, or emphasize trends when certain conditions are met. They allow the creation of dynamic and customized dashboards by setting conditions on widget measures and dimensions. These expressions help control the appearance and behaviour of widgets, making dashboards more interactive and insightful.
Key purpose of Conditional Expressions are:
-
Dynamic Visual Formatting: Expressions can automatically change widget visuals based on loan performance thresholds. For example, KPIs can turn red for overdue loans or green when repayment is on track.
-
Conditional Alerts: Expressions can display messages or alerts based on conditions. For instance, a dashboard can show High Risk when the loan default rate exceeds a certain percentage.
-
Highlighting Trends: Charts can emphasize patterns in loan data, such as overdue loans by region or loan amounts nearing their repayment deadlines. Expressions ensure these trends stand out clearly.
-
Interactive Customization: Expressions enable widgets to adapt dynamically. For example, conditional rules can adjust the display of loan statuses, like highlighting Approved or Rejected.
